Urano Shigenao (浦野重直)

Shigenao URANO (dates of birth and death unknown) was a busho (Japanese military commander) in the end of Heian period. He was the first son of Shinano no kuni no kami (Governor of Shinano Province), MINAMOTO no Shigetoo. His brothers were Shigeyori, Shigefusa, Shigehiro and others, and his children were Shigemitsu YAMADA, Shigechika, Shigemune TAKADA (Shigeie TAKADA?), Shigeyoshi, Shigehira, Shigenaga ASUKE and others. He called himself Taro URANO, Yamada Senjo, Kawabe Kaja or others.

His family was rooted in Mino Province and worked in the capital, but his father Shigetoo and his descendents had a foothold in Owari Province, Shigenao inherited the territory of Urano, Kasugai County, Owari Province, also managed the territories of Yamada-sho Manor, Yamada Province (Owari Province), and Kawabe sho, Ama County (Aichi Prefecture) according to "Sonpi Bunmyaku", and it is inferred that he and his brothers wielded their influence on Owari Province at these days.
